This was the year a long-held intention became a building. A summary of what Bal Sansar Sanstha did between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026 — with the full audited record published alongside it.
A health centre, finished and open
On 26 January 2026 — the 77th Republic Day — the Aarogyam Kendra was inaugurated at our Hathikhera campus in Ajmer district. It began as a concept note to Cochin Shipyard Limited in July 2024 and is now a completed 1,517 sq. ft. community health centre, built with a CSR grant of ₹40 Lakh.
Getting there was not straightforward. A state-wide strike by suppliers of bajri and stone, and the labour shortages that followed, pushed the timeline well beyond our estimate. We managed the construction ourselves — inviting quotations, visiting contractors' completed sites, and buying materials directly — because that gave us control over both cost and quality.
The centre serves women, adolescents and children with health check-ups, immunisation, anaemia and nutrition counselling, yoga and naturopathy, and de-addiction awareness. It is expected to reach at least 1,000 families a year.
What the year looked like on the ground
Two programmes carried most of the year's direct work — a village school and an HIV prevention project.
Bal Sansar Public School
- 154 children enrolled, Nursery to Class VIII, in its fourteenth year
- Every Class V and Class VIII student who sat the RBSE board examinations passed — all in the first division
- Two smart classrooms with digital boards, funded by Mitsubishi Elevator India
- Six-monthly health check-ups and a daily yoga session for students and teachers
- 14 teaching and support staff
HIV Prevention in Ajmer
Our Targeted Intervention among people who inject drugs, funded by the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society, completed its second full year.

NACO evaluation
The National AIDS Control Organisation commissioned an evaluation of our HIV prevention project covering October 2023 to March 2026. Two independent consultants visited the site in February 2026 and reviewed performance against pre-defined indicators, organisational capacity and financial practices. The project received a good grade and qualified to continue into 2026-27.
Statutory compliance
During the year BSS completed registration under the Rajasthan Public Charitable Trust Act 1959, as required by the Income Tax Department, and our 80G and 12A approvals were renewed. Accounts are prepared by a firm of Chartered Accountants and filed with the Income Tax Department, the FCRA authority and NGO Darpan. The FY 2025-26 audited accounts are being finalised.
