Founder Chairperson (Adhyaksha) & Chief Functionary

Dr. Priyamvada Singh — PhD in Social Sciences, LLB, MBA — is a development leader, public health strategist, gender advocate, and registered Advocate at the Rajasthan High Court. For nearly four decades, she has worked at the intersection of law, grassroots change, and government policy, always with one conviction: the most marginalised communities — children, women, adolescents, people living with HIV — must be placed at the centre of every programme and every policy.

Her career began in 1986 at Parivar Seva Sanstha's Marie Stopes Clinic, championing women's reproductive rights at a time when the subject was barely discussable in rural Rajasthan. She went on to lead the India–Canada Collaborative HIV/AIDS Project (ICHAP) in Rajasthan — a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)-funded initiative under the University of Manitoba — before serving for nearly a decade as Trustee and State Head for Rajasthan at India Health Action Trust (IHAT), directing Prevention of Parent-to-Child Transmission (PPTCT) programmes supported by the Government of Rajasthan and ViiV Healthcare. At IPE Global (2017–2021), as Policy and Outreach Adviser for the CIFF-funded Udaan and RajPusht interventions, she designed SBCC strategies for malnutrition and adolescent pregnancy, developed the Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health (ARSH) school curriculum, and shaped state and national policy across Rajasthan. Most recently, as State Head–Rajasthan at Population Foundation of India (2021–2023), she led adolescent sexual health programmes across four districts — directly reaching 30,000+ youth — and inked landmark MoUs with the state's Departments of Medical & Health, Education, and Women Empowerment.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Singh serves pro-bono on the boards of KHPT (Karnataka Health Promotion Trust) and IHAT, and as a Governing Board Member at Disha Foundation Jaipur (disability rights). She is a Director on the Rotary E-Club of Houston's International Exchange Sub-Committee and a national Jury member for Colgate Palmolive India's 'Keep India Smiling' scholarship programme. At the 2016 International AIDS Conference in Durban, her team received an international award for their PPTCT documentary — work that continues to influence HIV prevention programmes across India. She founded Bal Sansar Sanstha in 1992 and continues as its Chief Functionary.
