Ajmer · BSPS — Education

Challenge: A child from a migrant labour family with no history of formal education, at risk of remaining illiterate.
Intervention: Enrolled at Bal Sansar Public School, where he received quality education, mid-day meals, and personalised learning support.
Outcome: “My teacher says I am good at studies. I want to become a teacher too, so I can help other children like me who don't have books at home.”

Ajmer District · Babli Boli — Community · programme concluded

Challenge: Women in a remote village isolated from information, community participation, and awareness of their own rights.
Intervention: Joined the Babli Boli listeners' club, where women gathered weekly for health education, rights awareness, and community organising.
Outcome: “The listeners' club gave us a voice. We learned about our rights and health, and together we convinced the panchayat to build toilets in our village.”

Ajmer · SEDI — Skill Development · programme concluded

Challenge: A young widow with two children and no income, struggling to meet basic needs and keep her children in school.
Intervention: Completed the tailoring and sewing course at BSS's SEDI centre, gaining the skills to start her own work.
Outcome: “Every stitch I make is a step towards my children's future. SEDI didn't just teach me sewing — they gave me hope and independence.”

Srinagar Block, Ajmer · Taiyari — Health Awareness · programme concluded

Challenge: A 16-year-old girl in a remote village where health awareness was virtually non-existent, and signs of illness often went unrecognised.
Intervention: Participated in the Taiyari adolescent health programme, learning about nutrition, anemia, and when to seek medical help.
Outcome: “Before Taiyari, we didn't know what anemia was. The health sessions taught me to recognize the signs. My sister is healthy now because of what I learned.”

Tonk District · Taiyari — Health Awareness · programme concluded

Challenge: Adolescent girls and young women across 30 Gram Panchayats with no access to health information or services.
Intervention: Trained as a community health worker through the Taiyari programme, then led health awareness sessions across the district.
Outcome: “When I see young girls making informed decisions about their health, I know our work matters. Taiyari has changed how this entire community thinks about health.”
